The urgency required to draw down carbon emissions in our world has become a critical focus for our environmental work at Envision Frederick County.

EDUCATE: Climate change and mitigation measures we can do as citizens of the planet are major features of the information we share on social media, on our website and in our programs. The 2022 Envision Essentials in spring 2022 features a double-session on environmental equity through the lens of climate change, and our climate focus will likely continue in the fall Essentials Semester.
​
ADVOCATE: While we are a 501(C)3, we consider it a focal point of our mission to educate and prepare the community to advocate for climate change mitigation strategies and sustainability measures. To that end, our social media and alerts to our mailing list and community will focus on ways YOU can make a difference, and provide you the information you need to urge our policymakers to act. SUPPORT: Lifting up the work of our partners is integral to the mission of Envision. Click the linked text in orange below to learn about the work of the Climate Change Working Group, a group that researches aspects of climate change that affect our community and apply a holistic approach to analysis that focuses on the way the aspects interrelate;  and Mobilize Frederick, the advocacy arm of the 2021 Climate Emergency Mobilization Workgroup of Frederick County.
